A Tribute to Amy Winehouse ~

A star, singer-songwriter and a fashionista - Amy Winehouse was known as much for her distinctive style as for her powerful contralto voice and neo-soul music.

Other artists like Adele, Lady Gaga and Duffy have credited Amy to make their journey " a bit smoother" in United states. Having sounds similar to her.

Her songs "Back to Black", "Rehab", "You know i'm no good" , "Valerie" etc.. gained international success.

Her signature style comprising the 50s-retro rockabilly dresses, dramatic eye make-up and her incredible tattoos inspired many across the world and even made her a muse for renowned designers like Karl Lagerfeld. She served as a inspiration to many around the world, her soulful music and her different dressing style took over alot of people's hearts.

It was these fashionable symbols and hallmarks that made her a symbol of effortless contemporary retro-fashion and an iconic figure forever!

Although her sudden tragic death at the age of 27 shattered her close friends, family and music fans but Amy's numerous fashion moments and her evergreen songs became a remainder of some of her happier times while she performed on-stage for millions of her fans.

Although, Amy isn't with us right now , Her legend will forever remain and she will always be Britain's cultural Icon!

Fashion is  not about going with the trend. Its about being comfortable and looking gracious in what you wear ! All over the world people follow different patterns of fashion but amongst the few common factors is comfort and the confidence to carry it. It will differ from person to person depending on how an individual looks and what suits one the most. Its all about looking good in your garment. That will create your fashion statement.

Fashion in my eyes is definitely a part of all our lives. For me , it is most important to wear a garment that is not worn by anybody else, to have something unique in everything you wear. Lots of colors always works well when put together. there are so many people who would have similar taste depending upon what hit the fashion market, that's why its important to maintain a unique style so that your style doesn't become the next thing you see, everybody in!

Paris - The City of Love.

Paris is the city of  love , the city of dreams. It's so surreal , its my favorite place and definitely the most inspirational one. Paris for me is more than the city, the scenic beauty , the people , the fashion or even the Eiffel Tower. It means so much more, the word "Paris" itself brings a certain joy along with its never ending advantages. 

  

 What was an inspirational drive for me to create S'il vous plait ?

 I don't think i need to answer that.

 What is S'il vous plait?

 S'il vous plait means " If you please" in French. This fictional brand was created by me during my Fashion Marketing class at Raffles Design Institute, Mumbai. ( Offers an amazing course , for To-Be Fashion Marketing professionals just like me :D ). Knowing my love for Paris i knew i would want to create a brand that talks about Paris Fashion. I wanted people to be more aware of their dressing. Parisian girls dress to KILL ! I have always been inspired to dress just like them.

Why did i start blogging S'il vous plait ?

I knew i wanted to make this a more public phenomenon. I wanted to share my love for Paris and their Fashion to every Fashion Fanatic. I want to make people dress better and prettier in the simplest ways but the most stylish ones of course.

What does S'il vous plait have to offer?

Being the person i am , i believe in being different. Being quirky,weird yet very classy and contemporary. Those are quite the synonyms you would hear if you wanted another name for me. Yes i do like pink and all the pretty glittery stuff ( I will be blogging alot of that stuff too :P) but if you're dressing style is quirky and crazy. This blog has alot to offer.
